Elizabeth Leeds, PT, DPT
PHYSICAL THERAPIST
I’m a mom of two, a Physical Therapist, a landscape lighting business owner, and a lover of cooking, comedy, and conversations that probably could have ended ten minutes ago.
I’ve been out of PT school for more than 25 years. 😳 Still processing that math. I’m a true jack of all trades, still looking to master one. 😂 I’ve spent years in PT, fitness, and wellness, teaching, writing educational material, and collecting courses like other people collect shoes.
I love orthopedics and pelvic health, and I’ve never seen them as separate worlds. I’m a Fellow of Applied Functional Science, with extensive pelvic floor coursework, STOTT Pilates mat and reformer training from beginner through advanced, yoga certification, and training in visceral and craniosacral therapies. As my sister says, I can connect even a pinky strain to your pelvic floor. She’s exaggerating. Mostly.
Having been on both sides of the treatment table, including navigating a serious health issue, I know how much it matters to feel heard. I meet people where they are and help them become their own advocates. I like turning “I can’t believe I’m asking this” into “Why didn’t anyone explain this sooner?”
I wouldn’t call myself a runner—I joined a running group for friends and nonstop chitchat. Running was the cover charge. After being told my medical history would keep me from running, being able to do it means a lot. I also do the work to keep my body going. As I tell my patients, the hardest person to parent is yourself. Mine occasionally needs a firm talking-to.
My newer world of landscape lighting keeps me creative, grounded, and connected to nature. But PT is still in my bones. While it’s no longer my full-time work, I’m at MyPT2Go for two reasons: I love helping people, and I love the people and atmosphere here.
